Samsung Galaxy S23 Key Specifications Leaked, Said to Pack Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 50MP Camera

Samsung Galaxy S23 series specifications have started surfacing online. The company is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 series early next year. Based on previous launch cycles, the Galaxy Unpacked event could be hosted in January or February 2023. There will be three smartphones in the lineup, namely the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung has not confirmed any details about the Galaxy S23 series. Months ahead of the launch, the specifications and features of the S23 series have started leaking online.

The latest leak by tipster Yogesh Brar reveals the full specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S23. The vanilla model was recently spotted on the Geekbench website. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S23 specifications, features and other details known so far.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Specifications 

The Samsung Galaxy S23 will be the most affordable smartphone offering in the lineup. It will launch in India and other markets in 2023. Even before the launch date is announced, tipster Brar has listed the specifications of the vanilla S23. The device is said to pack a bigger 3900mAh battery under the hood. It will be slightly bigger compared to the S22’s 3700mAh battery. Brar claims that the S23 will support 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging out of the box.

There will be a 6.1-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The phone is likely to sport a hole-punch cutout at the top centre, according to the leaked design renders.

On the back, there will be three circular camera cutouts for the triple-camera setup. There will be a 50MP main camera sensor with optical image stabilisation support. The device will also feature a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. For selfies, the device will feature a 10MP front camera.

Samsung will launch the phone with at least 8GB of RAM and 128G/ 256GB storage options. There will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The phone will also run Android 13-based One UI 5.0 out of the box.

Based on the leaked details, it seems that the Galaxy S23 will be an incremental upgrade. The phone is set to get a slightly new design, matching the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
