Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to launch early next year. The South Korean tech giant is likely to launch the Samsung Galaxy S23 series in February 2023. The exact launch date is unknown as we are still a couple of months away from the rumoured launch timeline. Samsung is likely to launch its next flagship phone during the first week of February in the US. The company is expected to launch three premium smartphones, namely the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus will be the middle child and strike the right balance between its two siblings. Samsung has obviously not confirmed any details but like every year, the details of the upcoming Samsung flagship phones have leaked online. The latest leak reveals the key specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus: What is Known So Far

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus will launch as a successor to the Galaxy S22 Plus, which was launched earlier this year in India. The device is likely to offer incremental upgrades over the outgoing model. According to the specs listed by tipster Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy S23 Plus will come with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The screen size and resolution are the same as the Galaxy S22 Plus. Brar further added that the phone will come with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. There will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. Reports suggest that the Galaxy S23 series will have some custom-tuned SoC to unlock more performance and offer better efficiency.

The Galaxy S23 Plus will launch with at least 8GB of RAM. It will offer 128GB/ 256GB of internal storage. It would be interesting to see if Samsung launches the phone with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, which is the latest trend in the flagship smartphone industry.

The tipster has also listed the camera specifications of the phone. The Galaxy S23 Plus will come with a 50MP main camera sensor. It will be accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. For selfies, there will be a 12MP front camera.

The device is also said to pack a 4700mAh battery under the hood, which is slightly bigger than the S22 Plus’ 4500mAh battery. It will continue to offer 25W fast charging support. The device will offer stereo speakers and ultra-wideband (UWB) support as well.

As expected, the Galaxy S23 Plus will run Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of the new One UI 5.0 software skin on top of Android.
