Ahead of the launch, many key details about the upcoming Samsung smartphones have leaked online. Some reports suggested that Samsung has collaborated with Qualcomm for a custom version of the S23 series. Now, a new poster that confirms the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy” has leaked online.

The leaked poster (via) highlights the custom version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that has been customised for the Galaxy S23 series. WreckFest, one of the popular mobile games on Android, has also been optimised for the new Galaxy S23 series-exclusive chipset.

As per previous reports, the Galaxy S23 series will get an overclocked version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which has a peak clock speed of 3.36GHz. The standard version of the Snapdragon flagship SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. The Adreno 740 GPU is also said to have a clock speed of 719MHz as opposed to the standard version’s 680MHz clock speed.

While the SoC will have a higher clock speed and potentially offer more performance, it will be interesting to see how Samsung controls the heat under the hood to provide sustained performance without throttling.
