Samsung has rolled out a new update for the Galaxy S23 series. The company launched three premium flagship phones in the lineup. These include Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra. The flagship phones went on sale last month in India and other markets. Samsung has now released a new update, which includes several improvements for the S23 series. The update with the version number S91xNKSU1AWC8 is about 922.88MB in size.

It focuses on improving the camera experience of the S23 series. A Samsung executive has listed some of the key upgrades coming to the S23 series camera system. Here’s everything you need to know about the same.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Camera Update Released

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series has received a new camera-focused update. The update claims to increase the speed and accuracy of autofocus. In addition to this, users can also expect the camera and gallery apps to load faster.

A Samsung executive stated that the latest update will also improve the camera function and picture quality of the S23 series. There is more. There is a new feature in the gallery which lets users delete photos that are being processed right after they are shot using the camera.

There is a change in the autofocus (AF) algorithm, which now lets users click photos even when the focus has not locked in perfectly. Users can choose to negate the change and adjust the settings by going to Camera Assistant > Prioritise Focus Over Speed ON. This would mean that the camera will let users click the shutter and capture photos only when the focus is complete and accurate.

When recording video in low light with the ultra-wide camera’s Super Steady mode, there is an increase in sharpness whereas the flicker is decreased. Samsung’s Super Steady mode requires bright lighting, so the camera app will pop-up an alert to notify you about the same whenever you enable Super Steady mode.

The update also fixes the green line issue which appeared on the left side of the camera app when shooting in Photo mode. Galaxy S23 users can also expect the update to offer improved image stabilisation when shooting 1080p 60fps videos after setting up Auto FPS Off in the rear video. The company has improved the banding noise of the linear state that occurs in the mid-and low-light sky. The update is being rolled out to Galaxy S23 series users in a phased manner.
