Samsung Galaxy S23 series could launch sooner than expected. The company typically announces its Galaxy S-series flagships in February. However, looking at how the competition is preponing launches, Samsung might join the bandwagon to heat up the flagship space. As per reports, the Galaxy S23 series could debut in December or January 2023. While the company has not confirmed any details, it would not be a surprise if Samsung does so as the tech giant has its Z Fold and Z Flip series for the second half of 2023.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra have been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The listing suggests that Samsung’s flagship models could arrive soon. The device has been spotted on BIS days after other details of the Galaxy S23 series had leaked recently. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S23 series specifications, features and other details known so far.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Series BIS Listing

The Samsung Galaxy S23 will compete against the currently available iPhone 14 and other flagship phones launching in 2023. It has been spotted on the BIS website with the model number SM-S911B/DS. The Galaxy S23 Plus, on the other hand, has the model number SM-S916B. Samsung’s top-end Galaxy S23 Ultra has the model number SM-S918B/DS.

Samsung phones typically have the model number with an initial associated with the series the device belongs to. There are three other model numbers with the initial letter K, which could possibly mean the launch of new K-series phones. The devices, which have appeared alongside the S23 series, have the model number SM-K741B/DS, SM-K746B/DS and SM-K748B/DS. Unfortunately, there is nothing known about this mysterious Samsung phone.

Does it mean that the phones could launch as part of another series in India or other markets? We do not know. While we wait for some more clarity on that front, let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S23 series specifications leaked so far.

The Galaxy S23 is said to sport a 6.1-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The S23+, on the other hand, will have a 6.6-inch AMOLED display. The leaked design renders revealed that the phone will have a flat display and a hole-punch cutout at the top centre.

On the back, there will be a triple-camera setup. The phone is likely to feature a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. For selfies, the phones will feature a 12MP front camera.

Under the hood, the phones are likely to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC or an Exynos 2300 SoC depending on the region of its availability. They will run Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of One UI 5.0 on top. The phones are also said to support 25W fast charging. The S23 is also said to pack a bigger battery compared to the S22’s 3700mAh cell.
