Samsung Galaxy S23 series prices in India prices are out. The Galaxy S23 costs Rs 74,999 for an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB model is priced at Rs 79,999. The Galaxy S23 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs 94,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The 8GB RAM and 512GB model is priced at Rs 1,04,999.

The biggest change visible to the naked eye is the difference in the style of the rings around the camera at the back. They no longer protrude and mirror the design that you get on the Galaxy S23 Ultra variant. The curved edges make them easier to hold. Speaking of which, the Galaxy S23 comes with a thickness of 7.6mm and weighs 168 grams. Whereas the Galaxy S23 Plus weighs 196 grams but with the same thickness of 7.6mm like the vanilla model. You also have IP68 rating for both the phones which make them dust and water resistant.

Samsung Galaxy S23 carries a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with adaptive refresh rate feature between 48Hz and 120Hz. The Galaxy S23 Plus sports a bigger 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display, also with the same adaptive refresh rate technology. The screens on both phones get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability and you have support for 1750 nits of peak brightness level. The on-screen biometric works through the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

In terms of the hardware, Galaxy S23 and the S23 Plus are powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that you get with 8GB RAM, while the storage options stretch up to 512GB this year. Samsung says the Qualcomm chipset has been designed with focus to run on the new Galaxy S23 devices. The phones come with dual speakers that are Dolby Atmos powered. Samsung is offering the phones with the new OneUI 5.1 version based on the Android 13 operating system. Samsung is giving 4 years of OS updates and five years security support for the new series.

When it comes to imaging, Samsung has decided to retain the same megapixel count for both the models. You have a triple rear camera system that comprises a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and gets OIS support. They also have a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 10MP telephoto sensor that also gets OIS support. The front of the phone carries a 12MP shooter.

Samsung Galaxy S23 with a smaller screen, gets a 3,900mAh battery which supports 25W wired fast charging and 10W wireless charging. The Galaxy S23 Plus features a bigger 4,700mAh battery that lets you charge at 45W speed in the wired mode and 10W wireless charging.

As you can see here, the biggest difference is the screen sizes of both these models, which also results in packing a bigger capacity battery that makes one of them heavier than the other. The display tech is the same, and the hardware also sees no compromise. Having said that, Galaxy S23 has a base model with 128GB storage, while the S23 Plus starts with the 256GB variant. The cameras are also identical but the charging speed is 20W faster than what Samsung is giving you on the Galaxy S23. The possible Rs 10,000 price difference might sound like a lot, but the differences make it a worthy buy.
