Ahead of the February 2024 launch, the South Korean publication Chosun has reported that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will have a better display than the iPhone 15 series. Samsung Galaxy S24 series has been in the news lately, with almost all significant specifications leaked. The latest leak confirms that the base variant of all three models will come with more RAM and storage. Citing an industry source, the South Korean publication has claimed the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for the base variant. It is good news for Samsung fans as they don’t have to splurge more for extra memory. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series was launched with 8GB RAM for the base variant.
The same report also claims that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will come with the latest display tech from Samsung Display. The publication reports that all Samsung Galaxy S24 series will get the latest and greatest M13 series OLED panels, which are thinner and more efficient than the last generation M12 OLED panels. The M12 OLED panels have been used in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5.
The same panel will also reportedly be used in the upcoming iPhone 15 series. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series will have a leg up over the iPhone 15 series. We can expect the M13 OLED panels on the Galaxy S24 series to be brighter and more battery-efficient than the latest iPhones.
A recent rumour has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a new 50-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom. The primary lens is expected to remain 200MP with a 10MP periscope lens. The smartphone will launch with either Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, depending on the market. Leaks have suggested that it will feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and S-Pen. The smartphone is speculated to be powered by a 5,100mAh battery.
