According to the tipster Ice Universe, Samsung will equip the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra with the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP2SX sensor. This will be an optimized version of the HP2 sensor found on last year’s Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. We can expect minimal but notable changes in the picture quality. As mentioned before, the popular tipster Ice Universe has posted the latest leak on their X account. According to the tipster, the upcoming Samsung Ultra flagship will feature the new 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP2SX sensor. The tipster also claims the new sensor will have the exact specifications of the 200MP HP2 sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

As per the X post by the tipster, the new sensor will retain the 1/1.3-inch sensor with an individual pixel size of 0.6µm. It’s not bad, considering that HP2 was one of the best smartphone cameras. While the new sensor is rumoured to be an optimised version of the HP2 sensor, the tipster has not delved into more details about it. We expect the new sensor to be marginally better than last year’s camera.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Specifications (Rumoured)

According to a recent report, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC worldwide. Only the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 are expected to launch with the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, depending on the region. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumoured to have a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate.

The 200MP primary camera is tipped to be accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 50MP telephoto sensor with 3X optical zoom, and a 10MP periscope sensor with 10X optical zoom. The flagship smartphone will have a 12MP shooter for selfies and video calling on the front. The device is said to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. We can expect it to boot the Android 14-based OneUI version.
