Samsung is working on the launch of a new tablet. The company could unveil the Tab A8 series very soon. Samsung is yet to announce the official launch details of its mid-range tablet at the time of writing this. While we wait for the official launch date announcement, some key details of the Tab A8 have leaked online. The Galaxy Tab A8 is listed on the Geekbench website. The benchmark listing spotted by 91Mobiles has revealed some key specifications of the upcoming Samsung tablet. According to the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has the model number SM-X200. The Samsung tab runs a Unisoc chip under the hood. It will feature a Unisoc T618 chip, which is an octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. The tablet will come with at least 3GB of RAM. Samsung is likely to launch a 4GB RAM option as well. The listing further reveals that the tablet scored 1704 and 5256 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

Design renders of the upcoming Samsung tablet have leaked in the past. It revealed that the Tab A8 will sport a 10.5-inch TFT display with a WUXGA resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. It will have a 60Hz refresh rate panel. The tablet will have slightly thick bezels around the display. It will come with a front camera on the right edge of the tab, which will switch to the top when held horizontally.

Samsung will reportedly launch the tablet in 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB storage configurations, depending on the region. At the back, there will be a single 8MP camera sensor without an LED flash. The front camera will house a 5MP sensor. Samsung is also rumoured to pack a 7,040 mAh battery. It is likely to support fast charging as well. The tablet will launch in three colours – Silver, Gold and Grey.
