Samsung recently updated its Tab S7 series lineup in India with the launch of the Tab S7 FE Wi-Fi model. The Wi-Fi-only variant was launched a few weeks after the launch of the cellular variant in India. It looks like the next tablet from Samsung will launch sometime next year. The Galaxy Tab S8 series, which will be Samsung’s next premium tablet series, will debut in 2022. Ahead of the launch, design renders and key specs of the upcoming Samsung tablet have leaked online. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 design renders, features and other leaked details.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 design renders

Samsung is yet to confirm the Galaxy Tab S8 launch date at the moment. While the launch is months away, tipster OnLeaks has uploaded the design renders of the tablet. Based on the design renders, it is safe to expect that the Tab S8 will look more or less similar to its predecessor. The tablet will have slightly thick bezels around the display. It has the front camera on the right bezel when held vertically. Holding the tablet horizontally during video calls will offer more screen estate while the user looks directly into the camera. OnLeaks claims that the tablet will sport an 11-inch IPS LCD with a 1600 x 2560 resolution. The display will have 120Hz refresh rate support as well.

On the back, there is a dual-camera setup. The pill-shaped camera module houses a 13MP primary camera and a secondary 5MP sensor above the LED flash module. For selfies and video calls, the device will have an 8MP front camera.

Under the hood, it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The tablet will pack a beefy 8000 mAh battery. It will come with 45W fast charging support. Samsung typically packs a 15W/ 25W charging brick inside the box. It would be interesting to see if the Galaxy Tab S8 gets a 45W charger bundled with the device.

There is no word on whether the tab will also have support for Samsung’s S Pen. It will run Android 11 out of the box. The tablet will have a layer of Samsung’s One UI skin on top of Android.  It will weigh 504 grams and be 6.24mm thick. The tablet is expected to launch in January or February 2022 and will be priced at around $842.69 (roughly Rs 63,100). We advise our readers to take the leaked pricing details with a pinch of salt.
