Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Renders Leaked Showing Different Designs of the Three Models

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series has been rumoured since May this year, but the device may have been delayed due to the chip shortage.

Samsung may launch the new Galaxy Tab S8 tablets early next year

It seems that the next version of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Tab Android tablet is on the cards for 2022. Renders of the device were leaked online by Evan Blass, former Engadget editor and a prolific leaker. The leak suggests that there will be three versions of the device — the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Which is also a sign that the company will follow the same SKU that it uses for the flagship Galaxy S series smartphones. The Galaxy Tab S8 series was expected to be launched last year, but it’s possible that Samsung had to push the launch due to the ongoing global chip shortage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 design and specs

To be clear, Blass didn’t share anything on the specifications of the device. However, the images do give us cues on the design. The Tab S8 series seems to have trimmed bezels and look almost the same as Apple’s iPad Pro and iPad Air tablets. They are supposed to have 14 inch displays, based on other leaks, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra may feature a slimmer overall form factor than the other two. It will also have a notch on the front, which holds the front facing camera. The Tab S8 Ultra seems to have two front facing cameras, while the other two have single cameras.

Further, there will also be an 11 inch version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, which is supposed to have a larger power button that holds the fingerprint sensor. The Tab S8 Plus and the Tab S8 Ultra will instead sport in-display fingerprint sensors and smaller power buttons. It’s unclear whether the devices run on Samsung’s Exynos or Snapdragon chipsets, but the company may use a combination of the two, which varies depending on the country they’re being sold in.

As mentioned before, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series has been rumoured to be in the works for over six months now. Specs and features of the device have been leaking since May, and it seems like Samsung is ready to roll the device out to the public in 2022.
