Samsung has a busy first half of 2022 if the leaked schedule of the rumour mill is to be believed. The company will launch the S22 series next month, followed by some Galaxy M-series, A-series smartphones. Phones aside, the South Korean tech giant is also rumoured to unveil its Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series in the coming weeks.

The Samsung tablets are rumoured to launch around Q2 of 2022. While we wait for some official confirmation around the launch timeline. The design renders of Tab S8 and S8+ have leaked online. A WinFuture report has revealed the key specs of the upcoming Samsung tablets as well. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ design, specifications and other leaked details.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series design renders

The new renders corroborate some of the previously leaked design. The vanilla S8 and S8+ have a dual-camera setup on the back. There is a 13MP main camera and a 6MP ultrawide camera. Both phones have a 12MP front camera on the right edge when held vertically.

The devices will come powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, according to the report. Both will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB of internal memory options. Samsung is likely to offer microSD card support.

The key differences lie around the display. While both tablets have fairly thin bezels around the 120Hz screen, the Tab S8+ has a larger display. It will sport a 12.7-inch screen and come with an AMOLED panel with a WQXGA+ (2800 x 1752) resolution. The standard S8 will have an 11-inch LTPS TFT display.

The vanilla S8 is said to have an 8000 mAh battery, whereas the S8+ will have a 10090 mAh cell. They will come with Android 12L-based OneUI 4.0 out of the box.

Some details of the Tab S8 Ultra model have leaked as well. It is said to sport a massive 14.6-inch WQXGA+ AMOLED display. It will have a tiny notch on the right edge for the 12MP front camera. The Ultra model is also said to have a secondary 12MP sensor. However, it is unknown what the focal length of this one would be. It will pack an 11,200 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
