Samsung has launched its premium tablet range in India, the Galaxy Tab S8 series. The new Samsung tablets were launched earlier this month at the Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the S22 series. Samsung has launched three premium tablets in India. These are the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra.
The tablets come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood, which is currently the flagship chipset for smartphones and tablets worldwide. The top-end Ultra model also features an AMOLED display with a wide notch on the side frame for the dual-front camera setup. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series Price in India
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S8 series in India in multiple storage and connectivity options. The vanilla Tab S8 has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is priced at Rs 58,999. Its 5G variant is priced at Rs 70,999.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ also comes in the same 8GB + 128GB storage option. The WiFi-only model is priced at Rs 74,999, whereas the 5G variant is priced at Rs 87,999.
The Tab S8 and S8 Plus come in three colours- Graphite, Silver, Pink Gold.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes in a single storage configuration – 12GB + 256GB. The WiFi-only variant is priced at Rs 1,08,999, whereas the 5G cellular option is priced at Rs 1,22,999. The tablet comes in a single Graphite colour.
Galaxy Tab S8 series will be available for pre-order between February 22 and March 10 on Samsung.com and all other leading Samsung authorized partners. Consumers pre-booking the Galaxy Tab S8 series will get a free Keyboard Cover worth up to Rs 22,999. Additionally, consumers can also avail cashback of Rs 10,000 on purchase of Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Rs 8,000 on purchase of Galaxy Tab S8+ and Rs 7,000 on purchase of Galaxy Tab S8 using HDFC Bank cards. No Cost EMI options are also available on purchase of the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
Specifications and Features
All three Tab S8 series devices come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, support for S Pen. There is a dual-camera setup on the back. The tablets have a 13MP main camera and a 6MP ultrawide camera. At the front, all three tablets have a 12MP front camera. The Tab S8 Ultra gets an additional 12MP ultrawide camera sensor. The Samsung tablets run Android 12-based One UI 4.0 out of the box.
The key differences lie in the display and battery specs. The Galaxy Tab S8 has an 11-inch LTPS TFT with 2560 x 1600 pixels. It comes with an 8,000 mAh battery. The Tab S8+ has a larger 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 2800 x 1752 pixels. The Plus model has a 10,090 mAh battery. The top-end Ultra model has a 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with 2960 x 1848 pixel resolution. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a beefy 11,200 mAh battery. All three tablets support a 120Hz refresh rate and 45W fast charging support.
