Samsung is probably getting ready to refresh its S Series tablet lineup soon. Despite the strong reviews of Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+, Samsung is already preparing itself for the future and working on the Galaxy Tab S8. It’s no longer a rumour but a fact because the Galaxy Tab S8 has been spotted on Geekbench after Tab S8 Ultra’s design was revealed earlier. We weren’t much convinced when the designs were revealed but the Geekbench listing confirms the existence of the device, which Samsung may reportedly launch early next year. However, there is still a lot more to be revealed about the device and as of now, a limited number of things are known to us.

Sam Mobile has reported that a new Samsung device with model number SM-X808U has appeared in Geekbench’s database. The Geekbench listing reveals some details about the device, like the processor and OS. Sam Mobile has claimed that the device is nothing but the 5G variant of the Galaxy Tab S8+. The report further mentions that the device will be exclusive to the US.

Earlier, the specifications of Tab S8 were revealed by Geekbench listing and now another Geekbench listing reveals that the Tab S8+ is being powered by the Snapdragon 898, the upcoming flagship processor from Qualcomm. The device seems to have 8GB of RAM, and it is running the latest Android 12 out of the box. However, it is still unclear whether Samsung will implement the Android 12L on the device or not. As per Geekbench, the device scored 1,211 points in Geekbench’s single-core CPU performance test and 3,193 points in the multi-core CPU test.

If it’s really the Tab S8+, then that’s the mid-tier model among Samsung’s upcoming tablet lineup. The company may launch three tablets- Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra. The fundamental difference between the three variants is probably the display. The regular Tab S8 may come with an 11-inch display, whereas the Galaxy Tab S8+ may come with a 12.4-inch display, and the Tab S8 Ultra may come with a huge 14.6-inch OLED display. However, all three variants may offer a 120Hz display.
