Samsung is gearing up for the launch of new premium tablets. The company might refresh its premium Android tablet series in India with the launch of the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Samsung is expected to launch three tablets in the lineup. These include the Tab S9, Tab S9 Plus and Tab S9 Ultra. Some details about the vanilla Tab S9 had leaked recently. A new report now has revealed the design renders of the S9 Plus, which will be the middle-child in the lineup.

The new Wolf of Tablet report, citing tipster OnLeaks, has revealed the front and rear panel design of the upcoming Samsung tablet. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus design renders, specifications and other details known so far.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus Design Renders

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus will be a premium Android tablet launching later this year. It is likely to get some minor upgrades over the outgoing model. However, there are a couple of design changes here and there. The design renders of the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus shared by OnLeaks reveal that the rear camera module design has changed. There are two circular cutouts on the back, below which is an LED flash. The camera setup design is similar to the flagship Galaxy S23 series, which was launched earlier this year. There is a magnetic strip running towards the bottom of the rear panel for the S Pen.

On the front, the phone is said to have the same display size as the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus. This means that the Tab S9 Plus will feature a 12.9-inch screen. The tablet will have a resolution as well of 1752×2800 pixels and 266 PPI.

The second major noticeable change that the upcoming Samsung tablet is said to get is a secondary sensor on the front. The Galaxy Tab S8 came with a single front camera on the right bezel when held in portrait mode.

The new Galaxy Tab S9 Plus design renders shared by OnLeaks and Wolf of Tablet reveal that there are two sensors on the right bezel. At the bottom, it is unknown if the secondary sensor is an ultra-wide lens or if it provides some other functionality.

OnLeaks claims that the Tab S9 Plus measures 285.4 x 185.4 x 5.64. in comparison, the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus measures 285 x 185 x 5.7 mm. Therefore, it seems like that the Tab S9 Plus will be a tad bit slimmer than its predecessor. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack but the tablet features a USB Type-C port at the bottom and a quad-speaker setup.

Other details about the Tab S9 series have leaked in the past. Samsung is said to provide an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance for the Tab S9 series. The tablets are also likely to launch in the second half of 2023. It won’t be a surprise if Samsung launches the Tab S9 series alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which are rumoured to launch in July or August 2023.
