Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series might launch later this year. The company is expected to announce three premium Android tablets this year. There will be the top-of-the-line Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, below which will be the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9. Some details about the Galaxy Tab S9 series have been leaked already. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, which will be the middle child in the lineup, has now been spotted on the Geekbench website.

The listing on Geekbench confirms some key specifications of the upcoming Samsung tablet. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ specifications, features and other details known so far.


Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ Performance Unit Details Revealed

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ is expected to launch in the second half of 2023. It has been spotted on Geekbench ahead of the launch. The Galaxy Tab S9+ has the model number SM-X816B. As per the listing, the global variant of the Galaxy Tab S9+ has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.36GHz, which suggests that it will feature the custom-developed “For Galaxy” version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The same SoC is found in the Galaxy S23 series.

In addition to the SoC details, the listing on Geekbench confirms that the Galaxy Tab S9+ will feature 12GB of RAM. We can expect the tablet to launch with 256GB of internal storage at least. The device will boot Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of One UI 5 on top.

The Geekbench listing further revealed that the Galaxy Tab S9+ scored 1974 and 5194 in the single-core and multi-core tests. The US variant of the tablet had also visited Geekbench in the past with the same hardware. It scored 2049 points in the single-core test and 5492 points in the multi-core test.

The design renders of the upcoming Samsung tablet have leaked in the past. It revealed that the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus will feature some minor design changes over the outgoing model. For starters, the rear camera module design is in line with the Galaxy S23 series. There are two circular cutouts and an LED flash module stacked one below the other. There is a magnetic strip below the camera sensors for the S Pen.

The front of the tablet is almost the same. The only noticeable difference is the addition of a secondary sensor next to the front camera on the right bezel. At the moment, it is unknown if the secondary sensor will be an ultra-wide camera or some other sensor. The display size is likely to remain the same at 12.9 inches. The Galaxy Tab S9 Plus will feature an OLED display with a resolution of 1752 × 2800 pixels and 266 PPI. 

The Plus-sized Android tablet will measure 285.4 x 185.4 x 5.64. it does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The tablet will feature a USB Type-C port and a quad-speaker setup, according to the leaked details. Lastly, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus will have an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
