Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Will Include Three Models, Launch Expected In Second Half Of 2023

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets such as Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra back in February 2022. Now, the South-Korean smartphone maker is gearing to launch the successor to the Galaxy Tab S8 series in the form of the Galaxy Tab S9 soon. Recently, we learned that the Galaxy Tab S9 series will have an IP rating for water and dust resistance. Now, ahead of the official launch, folks at GalaxyClub have revealed that the Galaxy Tab S9 series will also include the Ultra model. Apart from this, the publication also has shared the model number of the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

Galaxy Tab S9 Series Model Numbers Revealed

According to the report by GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Tab S9 model will be bear the model number as SM-X710 (Wi-Fi), SM-X716B (5G Global), and SM-X718U (5G US). Furthermore, the Galaxy Tab S9+ will be identified with model number as model numbers SM-X810 (Wi-Fi), SM-X816B (5G Global), and SM-X818U (5G US). Last but not least, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will possess model numbers as SM-X910 (Wi-Fi), SM-X916B (5G Global), and SM-X918U (5G US). Through these details, we also get an idea that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra model this year.

To recall, Samsung added the Ultra moniker to its tablet series last year. Before that, the Galaxy Tab S7 series consisted of the vanilla Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S7+. As of now, the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets remain unknown. However, we can expect these upcoming tablets to run Android 13 out of the box with One UI 5.1 skin on top. Additionally, we also can expect these upcoming devices to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S9 series in the second half of 2023. To recall, the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup was introduced by Samsung in February 2022. The Galaxy Tab S8 features an 11-inch TFT LCD display that has a 120Hz refresh rate 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powering the device under the hood there is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. On the software side of things, the Tab S8 runs Android 12 out of the box, and it is upgradable to Android 13.

The device features a 13MP camera on the back side which has an f/2.0 aperture, while the front of the tablet includes a 6MP selfie camera. The Galaxy Tab S8 is backed by an 8,000mAh battery which offers 45W fast charging support.
