Samsung is expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series in the second half of 2023. The Galaxy S9 series, similar to its predecessor, is expected to consist of four tablets – Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Apart from these three, the Korean tech giant might also unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Lite as part of the Tab S9 lineup.
Ahead of the launch, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra have been spotted on the TUV certification website, courtesy of Nashville Chatter. Per the listing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will support 45W fast charging. Let us take a closer look at the details.
As revealed through the TUV certification listing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra has the model numbers SM-X916B, SM-X910, and SM-X916N. Whereas, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus has the model numbers SM-X816B, SM-X810, and SM-X816N. Per the certification listing, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will feature support for 45W (10V/4.5A) fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9’s charging capabilities are yet to be revealed. However, the vanilla Tab S9 will have model numbers SM-X710, SM-X716B, and SM-X718U. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ with the model number SM-X816B was earlier spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database. According to the benchmark listing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+’s Geekbench listing also revealed the presence of 12GB of RAM under the hood. Also, the listing says that the Tab S9+ will come pre-loaded with Android 13. Hence, we can expect all the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets to boot Android 13-based OneUI out of the box.
Earlier, noted tipster Ice Universe had revealed the specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. According to the leak, the upcoming Tab S9 Ultra will feature a 11200mAh battery unit. It is said to come equipped with a 14.6-inch display with a WQXGA+ resolution. The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra might weigh 737 grams and measure around 208.6 × 326.4 × 5.5mm.
Samsung might unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets alongside Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable in an upcoming Unpacked. To those unaware, the next Samsung Unpacked is rumoured to happen at the end of July.
