Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy S22 series launch timeline. The company will host its new Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event later this year. Samsung Electronic’s President, TM Roh, has confirmed that the event will be hosted in February 2022. While the official launch date remains unknown, the company has confirmed some of the key details.
In the blog post, Roh says, “At Unpacked in February 2022, we’ll introduce you to the most noteworthy S series device we’ve ever created.” This suggests the inclusion of the S Pen found on the Note series in the Galaxy S-series. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event will be hosted in February 2022. The company did not reveal the official launch date just yet. At the event, Samsung will announce its “noteworthy S series devices” that will include support for the S Pen and come with pro-grade cameras. Samsung claims that the upcoming Galaxy S-series smartphones will rewrite the rules of the industry once again.
Details of the three Galaxy S22 series phones have leaked in the past. The top-end S22 Ultra model is the highlight here as it will come with a Galaxy Note-like design. The phone will have an S Pen slot at the bottom. It will come with a large 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. There is also the S22 Plus and the vanilla S22. Both devices will come with the same design found on their respective predecessors. They will have a 50MP main camera sensor. The phones will have a triple-camera setup.
All three Samsung phones will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the region of launch. There will be up to 45W fast charging support as well. The top-end Ultra model will pack a 5000 mAh battery, whereas the S22 is said to pack a 4000 mAh cell.
