Samsung is rumoured to launch new smartwatches later this year. According to reports, the South Korean tech giant will launch the Galaxy Watch 4 in Q2 2021. Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Watch Active 4 as a successor to the Active 2. The upcoming Samsung smartwatches are expected to run Android instead of Samsung’s custom Tizen OS. The company is yet to make an official announcement on the launch date of its new smartwatch. Ahead of the launch, the Galaxy Watch 4 has visited the FCC website. Samsung is gearing up for the Galaxy Watch 4 launch. Ahead of the launch, the upcoming smartwatch has visited the FCC website. The FCC listing of the Galaxy Watch 4 reveals the various LTE bands it would support. The device listed on the website has the model number SM-885U. It will support Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/ 5GHz and various LTE Bands, which can be seen in the image below. The listing also reveals the battery model number (EB-BR880ABY) of the device. Additionally, the information provided by the manufacturer also mentions a wireless charger (EP-OR825). This means that the Watch could support 5W wireless charging. The FCC listing also reveals the various accessories used for testing. It is possible that the watch might support these accessories.

Samsung has not yet announced the launch date of its upcoming smartwatch. However, tipster Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech claimed that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy smartwatch will go on sale in select markets starting August 11. It is worth noting that the mentioned date is related to the device’s market availability and not the unveiling date. There is no word on when will Samsung unveil the Galaxy smartwatches.

It was previously rumoured that the Watch 4 will come in 42mm and 46mm screen sizes.
