Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 4 series last year. The company launched two models in the series, namely the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic. Later this year, the company is expected to launch successor models of the Galaxy Watch 4 series. According to a new leak, one of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series models is the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
Samsung has obviously not confirmed any details about the upcoming smartwatch for its Android smartphones. However, the rumour mill has a new update about the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Tipster Ice Universe has revealed the materials and build details of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro specifications and features ahead of the launch.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro Features
According to a new leak, Samsung is rumoured to launch the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro later this year with premium and stronger materials. Ice Universe states that the Watch 5 Pro will have a titanium build and sapphire glass.
We have seen premium smartwatches come with an aluminium or stainless steel design. However, very few smartwatches come with a titanium build. Apple has launched its smartwatch models with a titanium build at a premium price tag. Therefore, it would not be a surprise if Samsung joined the league.
Along with the premium build, the Watch 5 Pro is also said to come with sapphire glass. The benefit here would be a scratch-proof layer of glass, thereby offering better durability.
The Watch 5 variant is said to come with a rotating bezel design. It is also rumoured to run WearOS like the Watch 4 series. In addition to this, Ice Universe claimed that the smartwatch will not have narrow bezels. The watch is also said to be wider than the predecessor model.
More details of the upcoming Samsung smartwatch should surface online in the coming days. We will share more information once available.
