Samsung smartwatches have a fan base thanks to their physical rotating bezel which was the device’s USP until Watch Series 4. However, the brand skipped the rotating bezel on its Galaxy Watch 5 series, disappointing many users. Many consumers looking to upgrade from older Galaxy Watches didn’t upgrade for this specific reason. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 6 series alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 smartphones. The event is likely to be scheduled for the second half of 2023. Ahead of the event, a Korean tipster Super Roader (via), suggests that Samsung will bring back its iconic physical rotating bezel with the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series.

What We Know So Far About Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Series

The Galaxy Watch 5 series was the first smartwatch line-up from Samsung to include a Pro model. Samsung will likely continue to launch the Pro model in the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series. The tipster claimed that Samsung would equip the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro with a physical rotating bezel. Samsung will also launch the Watch 6 Pro in two different sizes.

It means that the brand will launch the Pro with a smaller dial apart from Watch 5 Pro (review), which came in a single dial. The company is aiming toward users who prefer a smaller dial. Like the Watch 5 Pro, the upcoming Pro model would bring additional battery life and features over the vanilla model. The vanilla Galaxy Watch 6 will continue to feature a digital bezel.

A previous report from Ice Leaks claimed that the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series would feature a curved design instead of the flat design found on previous Galaxy Watches. The forthcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series also passed certification from Safety Korea with model numbers SM-R930/SM-R935 and SM-R940/SM-R945 for 40mm and 44mm variants of Watch 6.

The 40mm model will feature a 300 mAh battery rated at 295 mAh. It is higher than the 284 mAh battery rated at 276 mAh for the vanilla Galaxy Watch 5 (review) with a 40mm dial. The certification reveals that the 44m variant of Watch 6 will feature a 425 mAh battery rated at 412 mAh. In comparison, the Watch 5 with a 45mm dial has a 410 mAh battery with a rating of 395 mAh.

Rumors claim that Watch 6 Pro will be available in 42mm and 46mm sizes. The smaller variant would have a battery capacity of 300 mAh rated at 295 mAh. The battery capacity of the Pro variant is unknown at the moment.

Apart from these, these are the only specifications of the upcoming products known at the moment. These can be known only after the brand launches the products.
