It’s not been too long since Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Active 2 here in India. That launch, if you recall, happened in October — barely two months after the lineup was officially announced in August. What was pertinent to note was that initially, Samsung only had the Wi-Fi version of the device on sale in India. Two months on, the company has finally launched the 4G version of the smartwatch in India. With the 4G version, users do not need to keep the watch tethered to their smartphones for various purposes. The LTE version of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 offers eSim connectivity to its buyers and offers them calling and data access functionality directly from the watch itself.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2: Price in India, Variants

As of today, Samsung sells two variants of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 in India — the Wi-Fi-only version and the just-launched LTE version. Moving on to the 4G version, the Galaxy Watch Active 4G comes in the steel version only and had been priced at INR 35,990. The 4G variant is also sold in three colour options; Black, gold, and silver.

Looks-wise the Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G looks identical to the steel version of the Wi-Fi only variant with even the same color options on offer. What is different here is that the 4G version will allow users to make and receive calls and use mobile data to access music while on the go — without having to tether the watch to a smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G comes powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9110 processor. It comes with 1.5GB of RAM and ships with 4GB of internal storage for apps and data storage. The watch runs Samsung’s Tizen OS, and this 4G version supports most 4G LTE networks across the globe — including India. 4G connectivity is enabled using the embedded e-SIM. The watch supports Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, Wi-Fi b/g/n 2.4GHz, and NFC. The watch also gets a 3.35-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels.
