Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S20 series. That, however, is not the only thing that we are going to see in the Galaxy Unpacked event, set for February 12. The company is also going to launch its second foldable smartphone, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. While the details surrounding the specifications of the device have been leaking for quite a while now, the new leak brings to us the first hands-on look of the device itself.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Leaked Hands-on Video Showcases the Device in All its Glory
The video is a short 19-seconds long clip and it has been shared by Ben Geskin on Twitter. The video shows the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphone in its closed state. We can easily see the 1-inch notification panel, as well as the device’s dual-camera setup. The device appears to be wrapped with a glass and it shifts colors between Purple and Pink, depending on the lighting it is being seen in. In its open state, the device showcases its 6.7-inch Infinity Flex display with a tall 22:9 aspect ratio. Looking closely, the middle crease can easily be spotted where the Galaxy Z Flip folds. As is the case with the other foldable smartphones out there in the market, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip also has a wider opening near the end that folds.
As far as the specifications of the device go, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, which will be paired with 8GB of RAM. For software, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will rely on Android 10 out of the box with the company’s in-house One UI 2.0 running on top of it. The device has scored 725 in the single-core test and 2,610 in the multi-core test (Geekbench listing results).
