Samsung is confirmed to launch new foldable smartphones in 2021. After the Galaxy S21 series, the company is now said to launch the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 later this year. Details about the two upcoming foldable smartphones have been floating on the web for quite some weeks. The latest development reveals that storage options and software details of the two foldable devices. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will launch with 256GB internal memory at least. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, on the other hand, will come with 128GB/ 256GB storage options. Samsung is gearing up for the launch of new foldable smartphones. The South Korean tech giant is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in H2 2021. Ahead of the rumoured launch, the storage configuration details of the two foldable smartphones have leaked.
The Sammobile report suggests that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will carry the model number SM-F926. It will come with at least 256GB of internal memory. It will also run on Android 11 out of the box. The report further states that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will run on OneUI 3.5 on top of Android.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3, with the model number SM-F711, will come with 128GB and 256GB storage options. This is the same as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
It further states that there is no existence of the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Lite. Reports in the past suggested that Samsung will launch a “Lite” foldable smartphone at an affordable price.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 were recently tipped to launch in July 2021. Another report claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will come with S Pen support and an in-display front camera. Samsung is reportedly using a screen technology that lets light pass through the gap between pixels to click selfies. The company has also managed to add an in-display digitiser, courtesy of the second-generation ultra-thin glass.
The Z Fold 3 is expected to come with a 7.55-inch foldable display and a 6.21-inch cover screen.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is rumoured to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz LTPO foldable screen and a 1.81-inch cover display.
