Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Makes an Appearance on FCC Certification Website Ahead of the Expected Launch in August

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Fold 4 in August along with the Galaxy Flip 4 at the Unpacked event. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 was previously spotted on Geekbench revealing processor, RAM, OS, and more. The Fold 4 is expected to feature Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 12GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage.

With a few weeks left to the launch, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has been spotted on Federal Communications Commission (FCC) revealing the phone’s network details, Wi-Fi details, and more. Let’s take a look at the phone’s Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Bags FCC Certification

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 with SM-F936U model number has been spotted on the FCC database. Based on the listing, the device will come with Qualcomm Gen2 smart transmit feature and it will come with support for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. The site also confirms Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC support 一 which are not surprising given this is a flagship device. As you can see from the image below, the Z Fold 4 supports multiple 4G as well as 5G bands.


Further, the phone is tipped to come with Wi-Fi 802.11a/n/ac/ax and wireless power transfer, which could be a reference to reverse wireless charging. The images show the placements of the mmWave antennas on the device. In the below screenshots from FCC, the EP-TA800 adaptor has been used for testing and EP-N5100 Wireless Charging Pad was used while testing the device as well. The listing also suggests the device could support S Pen, similar to the Z Fold 3.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is tipped to sport a 7.6-inch 2K AMOLED display on the inside with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to have a 16MP under-screen camera as well. It could feature a 6.2-inch cover display and a 10MP front camera. The phone is rumoured to sport a triple-camera setup on the back. It will have a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera sensor. The foldable is said to 4,400mAh battery and 45W fast charging out of the box. It will also support 15W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
