Samsung will be bringing its latest foldable to multiple countries, including India, where the previous Galaxy Fold device is claimed to have done well. So, what do we expect to see from the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and how will it change the foldable market this year. Here is a quick round-up of all the details.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10th, and it will also be a virtual event this year. For everyone, Samsung will be hosting the event’s live stream on its YouTube page. Samsung will start the Galaxy Unpacked event at 6:30 PM IST on Wednesday, August 10th.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 Expected Price in India
Ahead of the launch, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 prices have been leaked by renowned tipster Sudhanshu. He claims the Galaxy X Fold4 will have two variants, one with 256GB storage, and the other with 512GB of internal storage. Both the phones are likely to get 12GB RAM as the standard. Going by the tipster’s claims, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 prices could start from around Rs 1,52,000 approx. in India this year. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold4 512GB variant could be priced at Rs 1,62,000 approx. in the Indian market.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 Expected Sale Date in India
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is launching on August 10 globally, and going by usual traditions, we expect Samsung to start delivering the foldable phone a week after the launch. But according to reports, Samsung is going to start sales for the new Galaxy Z Fold4 from around August 26th in India.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 Specifications and Features
Samsung has not confirmed any of the features of its latest foldable devices but the company has shared teasers that more or less guarantee the way the new foldable phones are going to look. Here are the other details that we expect to see with the Galaxy Z Fold4 this year.
120Hz AMOLED Display
All eyes will be on the foldable display quality of the Galaxy Z Fold4 from Samsung, and we expect nothing but the best from the company. As per reports, both the inner and outer screen will be an AMOLED panel with support for 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung will be using its Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel for its foldable display, giving it the best quality available in the market. The main screen unit is likely to come at 7.6-inch, while the outer display could be 6.2-inch in size. More importantly, we are hoping the crease on the screen is less visible this time around.
Flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen Hardware
Samsung’s flagship foldable device should use the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, especially when it is going to be paired with 12GB of RAM for both the variants. The new Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset has been manufactured by TSMC using its 4nm process and we’ve already seen it on the iQOO 9T and the OnePlus 10T smartphones. Samsung could give its top-end foldable the best available hardware set, and rightly so.
Upgrading The Camera
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is likely to feature a 50MP primary camera at the back along with a 2MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 12MP.telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. Samsung is also expected to provide a 16MP sensor under the screen, and a 10MP front camera that will reside within the punch-hole layout of the outer screen.
Other Specifications and Features
Besides these, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 should carry a 4,440mAh battery and expected to give you support for 45W fast charging. The foldable device will also offer 15W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging to charge other devices like the true wireless earbuds or even a quick juice-up for your second phone. Samsung is expected to offer the Galaxy Z Fold4 with 256GB and 512GB storage options this year, and we are not sure if the device will support expandable storage. Samsung is likely to offer its One UI 4.1 version based on the Android 12 operating system as the software hub out of the box.
Samsung will be hosting the event on August 10th, and you can stay tuned with MySmartPrice for all the updates from the event.
