The pre-reservation page for Indian consumers confirmed that Samsung would launch its upcoming foldable smartphones on the same date in the country. Samsung is expected to announce the pricing and availability of these smartphones on July 26. The report from 91Mobiles Hindi cites a leading Samsung retail partner who reveals the sale dates of smartphones in India.
The retailer, who has been associated with Samsung for a long time, reveals that the pre-booking of the smartphones will begin on July 26. However, the company would begin its sales only after two weeks, i.e., on August 14 in India. Samsung had begun the pre-reservations for smartphones at Rs 1,999. The pre-reservation benefits include vouchers up to Rs 5,000 and more.
A recent report from Dealabs revealed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be priced at €1,899 (approx. Rs 172,500) for the 256GB variant in France. The 512GB and 1TB variants would cost €2,039 (approx. Rs 185,000) and €2279 (approx. Rs 207,000) respectively. In contrast, the pricing of the 256GB variant of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 would be €1,199 (approx. Rs 109,000).
The top-end variant with 512GB storage is tipped to be priced at €1,339 (approx. Rs 121,650). The pricing in European markets is always higher owing to the differences in taxation. The renders shared by Winfuture reveal that Samsung would launch the foldable smartphone in three colour options. In contrast, the flip phone would come in four colour options.
The renders also hint that Samsung hasn’t brought significant changes in design to the upcoming smartphones. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to have a 7.6-inch AMOLED and 6.2-inch AMOLED secondary display. Both displays would be equipped with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is tipped to feature a primary 6.7-inch AMOLED and 3.2-inch AMOLED cover display.
Both smartphones are expected to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The smartphones will run on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13 out of the box. The 3C listing confirmed that the devices would support 25W fast charging tech.
