Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 rumours have been floating on the web for quite a while. The company is likely to launch the new foldable phone in the next couple of months or so. Samsung has not confirmed any details about the launch timeline of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Meanwhile, details about the upcoming Samsung foldable phone continue to flood the internet. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5: What We Know So Far

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be one of the most premium foldable phones launching in 2023. Its design details have leaked online. A new TPU case of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has leaked (via) online, which shows the camera module cutout of the phone. The device’s case will continue to have a pill-shaped cutout for the camera module, which was also the case with the Galaxy Z Fold 4. As per the recently leaked renders, Samsung might launch the Fold 5 with the same camera module design as the outgoing model.      

The pill-shaped camera module will have three circular cutouts, next to which is an LED flash. The device is said to get new camera sensors. As per leaked details, the foldable phone will feature a 50MP primary camera sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera lens with 3x optical zoom support. For selfies, the phone will feature a 12MP front camera on the outside. 

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is likely to get a new hinge design. Samsung is likely to use a new waterdrop hinge design over the current U-shaped hinge, which will help reduce the gap when the display when folded. The foldable phone will sport a 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. There will be a 6.2-inch cover display. The outer OLED display will support a 120Hz refresh rate as well. Both displays are likely to be brighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and feature a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection against accidental drops and scratches.

Under the hood, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will power the device, with a peak clock speed of 3.36GHz. The same SoC is found in the Galaxy S23 series. A Geekbench listing revealed that the phone will have 12GB of RAM. Samsung might launch the phone with 256GB/ 512GB/ 1TB storage options. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 was spotted running Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of One UI 5.1 on top.

There will be a 4400mAh battery, which is the same as the Fold 4. It is likely to get 45W fast charging and 25W wireless charging support.
