Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 design has potentially been revealed in a concept render video. The video, posted on YouTube by the artist Technizo Concept in collaboration with leaker Super Roader gives a 360-degree view of the upcoming flagship foldable from the South Korean giant. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 concept render video confirms that it may follow the same design philosophy as the Galaxy S23 series. Here’s all you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 design.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Design Revealed in a Concept Render Video

The new concept render video of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 confirms the past leak from @IceUniverse that, visually, only a little will change in aesthetics. Although we can see that the camera module will be similar to the Galaxy S23 series with three separate standout camera cutouts with a single LED flash below them in a single file. According to the previous leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will differ mainly in size and thickness.

The new video confirms that the upcoming flagship foldable from the chaebol will feature a teardrop hinge. Notably, this hinge ensures that the gap between the two halves of the smartphone is much less when in the folded state. This is similar to the Flexion hinge on OPPO’s latest Find N2 Flip (review). This will allow the Galaxy Z Fold 5 to fold flat like its rivals instead of having a triangular gap between the two halves when closed.

The concept render video also gives us a glimpse at the Fold Edition S-Pen, which will be sold as a separate accessory as there’s no S-Pen slot on the phone. As is standard with Samsung, the S-Pen matches the colour of the variant. The video reveals two colour variants: shimmery gold and coral green. Both paint jobs have matching sides with a glossy finish.

The form factor is similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 (review). It means you get the SIM tray on the left and volume buttons with the fingerprint scanner slash power button on the right side. There are three mics and a speaker griller on the top, a speaker grill with a USB Type-C port, and a single mic at the bottom.

There is no word on when Samsung will launch the upcoming flagship foldable. But we can expect it to come along in the first half of 2024. Are you looking forward to this launch? Let us know in the comments section below.
