Meanwhile, the rumour mill continues to churn out the key specifications and features of the upcoming Galaxy foldable phone. A new leak has now listed the full specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the complete specifications of the phone, which suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 might not get many upgrades in the hardware department. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 specifications and features revealed ahead of Galaxy Unpacked July.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5: Specifications Leaked So Far
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will likely get some incremental upgrades over the outgoing model. It is slated to launch in Seoul in July. Ahead of the launch, tipster Brar revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 5 specifications, which revealed that the foldable phone might, more or less, be similar to the outgoing model but get an updated processor and a few other changes.
The highlight upgrade in the spec sheet at least will be the processor. Samsung will feature its custom-developed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy in the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The same SoC is found in the Galaxy S23 series. According to a Geekbench listing, the Fold 5’s SoC has the same clock speed as the one found in the flagship Galaxy S23 series. It has a 3.36GHz prime core, with four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz. The device was listed on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM. Brar further added that Samsung is likely to launch the Z Fold 5 with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. The storage options will vary based on the regions the foldable phone launches in.

The device is also said to get an IPX8 rating for enhanced water resistance up to 1 metre for 30 minutes.
