The rumour mill has been talking a lot more about the Galaxy Z Fold 5 of late. The foldable phone is tipped to launch earlier than expected.

Samsung might launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in July itself. The foldable phone’s specifications and features, meanwhile, have leaked online. A new leak has now revealed almost all the key details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy foldable phone. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 specifications, features and other details known so far.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5: Key Specifications, Expected Price and More

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be the next top-end foldable smartphone from the company. The foldable phone is expected to launch in July. A recent report claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will debut by the end of July. The report was based on a tip of the phone’s hinge entering mass production in early June.

Meanwhile, a new leak by tipster Anthony revealed the full specs of the phone. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to sport a 7.6-inch foldable display. The AMOLED display will support a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to be more durable and come with a less noticeable crease. There will also be a reduced gap between the display when folded. This will be due to the new hinge design. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is tipped to get a new water-drop hinge design, instead of the existing U-shaped hinge.

The AMOLED cover display will be 6.2 inches tall and will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays are said to be brighter than the outgoing model. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 has 1300 nits of peak brightness. It would not be a surprise if Samsung matches the brightness of the Z Fold 5 with the Galaxy S23 series and launches it with 1750 nits of peak brightness. The screen will have a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top.

The tipster added that the phone will get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It was recently spotted on Geekbench with a customised version of the flagship Qualcomm SoC. The variant listed on Geekbench had 12GB of RAM. It also revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will run Android 13 out of the box. It should be running the latest One UI 5 update on top.

Anthony further revealed that the phone will offer 256GB/ 512GB/ 1TB storage options. It will have LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage standards. There will be a triple-camera setup on the back. The device will feature a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera lens. The device is said to offer up to 8K 30fps video recording.

There will be an IPX8 rating for water resistance. It will feature improved dual speakers and a vibration motor. The device will also support S Pen as expected. It is tipped to weigh about 254 grams, making it 9 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
