Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to launch later this year. The company might launch its most premium foldable phone in various markets in August or September 2023. We are many months away from the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, the phone has been spotted on a benchmark website ahead of its launch. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been spotted on the Geekbench website.
The listing on Geekbench is of the US variant of the foldable phone. This is the first time that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 US variant is making its appearance on Geekbench. Alongside, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has also visited the benchmark website. It reveals some key specifications of the phones. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 specifications, features and other details revealed so far.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 Geekbench Listing
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will launch at the Unpacked event later this year. The foldable phone has visited the Geekbench website ahead of its launch. According to the Geekbench listing, the foldable phone has the model number SM-F946U. As mentioned above, the variant listed above is the US variant of the foldable phone.
The Geekbench listing confirms that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 5G will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. And it is the same overclocked version found in the Galaxy S23 series. The SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.36GHz. in comparison, the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5’s octa-core SoC is paired with an Adreno 740 GPU. The device scored 2014 and 5022 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 variant listed on Geekbench has 12GB of RAM. We can expect it to launch with 256GB and 512GB storage options.
The listing also revealed that the phone has Android 13 software out of the box. It should be running the latest One UI 5 update on top.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has also visited the Geekbench website. The listing on Geekbench is of the US variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The listing confirms that the phone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It will be an overclocked version of the SoC with a peak clock speed of 3.36GHz. There is also an Adreno 740 GPU.
The variant of the Flip 5 listed on Geekbench has 8GB of RAM and runs Android 13 out of the box. It should have a layer of One UI 5 on top. In addition to this, the listing revealed that the phone scored 2030 and 5213 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.
Some other details about the phone have leaked in the past. It is said to sport the same design as the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Changes to the hinge design might reduce the gap between the panel when folded. The cover display is said to be 6.2 inches tall and sports a hole-punch cutout at the top centre.
The foldable phone will have an IPX8 rating for water resistance and weigh about 254 grams. The phone is also tipped to sport a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 50MP main camera with OIS support, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera.
Concept renders based on the leaked details were uploaded recently. The renders show that there is little to no change in the design. The camera module design is the same as the S23 series with three cutouts for the three sensors.
