[Exclusive] Samsung Galaxy S21 Official Launch Invite and Launch Date is Here

That the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series is just around the corner is not a surprise really. And, there were definitely strong rumours that the launch date for the next iteration of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S lineup would be on January 14, 2021. Which is definitely earlier than usual. And now, courtesy Ishan Agarwal, a reliable source for inside information on smartphones, has confirmed that the launch is indeed on January 14th at 3PM GMT. Or, 8:30PM Indian Standard Time.

What you see above is the GIF of the invite (click on it to view). And, you can’t really make out much from it. But, truth be told, you don’t need to even do any sleuthing because absolutely everything is already known about the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The leaks have been flowing in fast and thick anyway.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Series: Key Information

The official renders of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra showcase a new, unique camera cutout that stretches out to the corner and blends into the body. In fact, the new purple colour finish can be seen in the image event invite, indicating that the rumours are mostly true.

The Galaxy S21 and the S21+ are expected to feature a 6.2-inch and a 6.7-inch Infinity-O Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED displays along with 2,400 x 1080 pixels resolution. Both the phones are mostly likely to come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection along with 120Hz variable refresh rate, 1300nits of brightness, and a 1080×2400 pixel resolution on the display.

In terms of optics, can expect triple-camera setup:

  1. 12MP main wide-angle camera with f/1.8 aperture and 26mm focal length.
  2. A 64MP telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture, 28mm focal length, and OIS.
  3. A 12MP ultra-wide angle lens with 120-degree FoV.
  4. On the front, there might be a 10MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture.

All the three phones, including the Galaxy S21 Ultra, are expected to be powered by the new 5nm Samsung Exynos 2100 chip for India and a few other markets, and Snapdragon 888 in the US and other markets.
