South Korean tech giant Samsung has started the festival season on a strong note, it seems that a large number of buyers have opted for Galaxy smartphones across all the price segments. The company has announced that it has sold more than 1.2 million Galaxy devices in India on the first day of the online festive sale.
This comes after reports of the Amazon recording unprecedented Prime signups during the first day of the Great Indian Sale as well as some of the highest smartphone sales on Flipkart.
Samsung India Festive Season Sales
Samsung Galaxy smartphone series is quite diverse with a selection of devices across the A-series, M-series, S-series, Z-series, and more. Almost all galaxy devices are up for grabs in India via Amazon and Flipkart with hefty discounts and offers. If we get down to the numbers, Samsung claims to have sold Galaxy devices worth over Rs 1000 crore in 24 hours.
On Day 1 of Amazon’s Great Indian Festival, Samsung claims that it was the number 1 smartphone brand, with every third smartphone sold being a Galaxy.

Furthermore, the company also announced that the Galaxy M13 was the number 1 bestseller on day one of the festive season sale. However, Galaxy M32 Prime Edition was one of the top choices for consumers during Amazon’s Kickstarter deals.
While the Galaxy M33 is said to be the top-selling 5G smartphone on Amazon India, it was the Galaxy S22 which received one of the biggest discounts during the sale. The Galaxy S20 FE seems to be the top seller in the premium segment on Amazon India as per the company.

On the opening day of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days, Samsung Galaxy F13 claimed the top spot for sales in the 4G category, while the Galaxy F23 was the go-to 5G smartphone on Flipkart. In the premium segment, the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S22+ have recorded decent sales on Flipkart.
