Samsung India has announced its newest Upgrade to Awesome loyalty program for people interested in buying a new Galaxy A-series smartphone. It is applicable when you are upgrading to a 5G-compatible Galaxy A-series smartphone from an older Galaxy smartphone.
Your older Galaxy device should be part of the Galaxy A-series, Galaxy On series, or Galaxy J-series. Another thing to keep in mind is that it should have been purchased before 2020. It means if you have a phone that is old but was purchased in 2021 or later, it will not be eligible for the loyalty program.
As for upgrading, you need to purchase a Galaxy A-series 5G smartphone like the Galaxy A54 5G, Galaxy A34 5G, Galaxy A23 5G, and Galaxy A14 5G. These phones are available with EMI options where you can opt for a tenure of up to 14 months. Samsung says the effective pricing for owning these models is Rs 44, Rs 47, Rs 49, and Rs 64 per day respectively.
The upgrade benefit includes a complimentary Samsung Care+ Screen Protection coverage for your brand-new smartphone. This free coverage is valid for six months which is a good bonus to have. It is a plan that usually costs a few thousand rupees for one year when purchased separately. The best part is you can avail this special benefit in addition to other existing cashback deals and offers available on Galaxy A-series smartphones.
How to Redeem Samsung Upgrade to Awesome Loyalty Program?
- Open the My Galaxy application on your old Samsung Galaxy device.
- Login to your account if you have not already. If you do not have an account, create a new one.
- The app will show you an offer banner if you have an eligible Galaxy smartphone.
- Tap the banner and follow the on-screen instructions to generate a unique code. Note it down as you will need it later.
- Open the My Galaxy application on your brand-new Samsung Galaxy A-series device.
- Login with the same account that you used on the older device.
- You should see the offer banner in the app which you need to tap.
- The app will authenticate your phone number and IMEI number.
- Enter the code when asked and after successful validation, your free 6-month Samsung Care+ Display Protection coverage will be activated within 48 hours.
