The movie follows the tale of teenage Billy Batson, who becomes Shazam, his alter ego and an adult Super Hero, by saying the magic word “SHAZAM!” The cast includes Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, and Jack Dylan Grazer. The movie is directed by David F. Sandberg and is written by Henry Gaydon, Bill Parker, and Chris Morgan.
Reception
As was the anticipation and hype of the movie, Shazam failed to get such a high opening upon its release in theatres and fell flat at the box office. Even IMDb gave the movie a ranking of 6.1 out of 10.
