The Sonos Era 300 will go on sale in India starting October 20. It has been priced at Rs 54,999 and can be pre-ordered from October 15. On the other hand, the Sonos Era 100 has been priced at Rs 29,999. It will be up for pre-order and start shipping on the same date as Sonos Era 300. The Sonos Era 300 features what the brand calls a cinched hourglass design, which houses the complex acoustic architecture. According to Sonos, every design detail has been crafted to enhance the direction and dispersion of sound to provide a surround sound experience. The Sonos Era 300 is the brand’s first speaker to offer spatial audio with Dolby Atmos.
The Sonos Era 300 features six powerful drivers projecting sound in all directions, an industry-first for single compact speakers. The Era 300 has four tweeters for high and mid-range audio and two woofers to provide low-end output. The woofers are placed on the left and right sides of the unit. Users can pair the Era 300 with Sonos Arc or Beam for an immersive sound experience.
The Sonos Era 100, on the other hand, is a compact speaker designed to deliver next-gen acoustics, crisp stereo sound, and deeper bass. It has a unique setup of two angled tweeters for high and mid-range frequencies. The Era 100 also has a single woofer for low frequencies and powerful bass. Users can pair two Era 100 for powerful stereo sound or as rear speakers with a soundbar to create a surround sound system.
Sonos has equipped the new speakers with an intuitive user interface and capacitive volume slider. Both Sonos Era 100 and 300 come with Trueplay tech, which uses the mic array to enhance the audio to suit the acoustics of your room. The feature can be accessed with one tap in the Sonos app, which is available for Android and iOS users. Other features of these speakers include Sonos Voice Control, Apple AirPlay 2 support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
