Key specifications

The Sony HT-S40R offers 5.1 channel audio playback, thanks to a three channel sound bar that sits under the television, two wireless rear speakers to add easy and seamless setup of a home theatre configuration without the mess of wires, and also an easy to connect subwoofer to the entire setup. It is Dolby Audio certified to offer spatial audio distribution for a cinematic surround sound effect, and offers 600W total audio output.

Alongside the wireless rear speakers, the home theatre can also be configured wirelessly to your TV, provided you own a Sony TV only. The amplifier of the 5.1 channel setup is also a wireless one, therefore reducing any clutter of wires on the TV console. In terms of connectivity, the Sony HT-S40R offers an HDMI port, optical inputs for wired connectivity to source, and USB and Bluetooth sync with phones as well for quick play from mobile devices.

The Sony HT-S40R home theatre also comes with a master remote to control the entire audio setup, and carries a typical Sony design across all of its components.
