Xiaomi, earlier this year, launched the Xiaomi 12 series in international markets. The company launched three premium smartphones, namely the 12, 12X and the 12 Pro. Among the three devices, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is set to make its debut in India on April 27. There is at least one more smartphone that is planned to launch under the 12 series, which is the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
The company is rumoured to launch the new flagship smartphone in May or June 2022. The 12 Ultra will debut first in China, followed by other markets. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the Xiaomi Ultra smartphone’s camera have emerged. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 12 Ultra specifications, features and other details.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra Camera Specifications Tipped
Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be the top-end Android smartphone offering from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer that will launch in the coming weeks. Ahead of the launch, tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) (Via GizmoChina) has revealed the device’s main camera details. The tipster claims that Sony is working on a new sensor under the IMX9 series. The 50MP sensor could be called IMX989. This high-end sensor could have a 1-inch size and could debut with the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
Alleged renders of the device have surfaced in the past. These images suggest that the 12 Ultra will sport a large circular camera module housing four sensors. One of the four sensors will include a 50MP sensor. The device is also rumoured to feature a 48MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP telephoto camera sensor with 5x optical zoom. The fourth sensor could offer more zooming capabilities.
In addition to this, some other details have leaked as well. The device is said to come with Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC. The chipset will be based on a 4nm process and come with improvements over the existing Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It will come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB or even 512GB of internal storage. There will be a 4900 mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging out of the box. The Xiaomi flagship will have stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.
At the front, there will be a 6.73-inch E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. The display is likely going to be curved and sport a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. Lastly, the phone will run Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
