
Sony has already revealed the price of the PlayStation 5 in India, but the company is yet to reveal the information about the launch date and availability of the console. On the other hand, XBOX Series X and Series S both the consoles are already up for pre-orders in India and soon the company will start shipping the units. The PlayStation 5 in India is priced at Rs 49,990 for the regular edition and the Digital Edition is priced at Rs 39,990, which doesn’t offer a disc drive. There is a difference of Rs 10,000 between the two models, but if you’re choosing the regular edition then you have the liberty of shifting from digital to old school disk version anytime. XBOX Series X, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 49,990 and the XBOX Series S is up for grabs at Rs 34,990 in India. Both, the PS5 and XBOX Series X, are priced similarly and there is no difference in pricing.

PlayStation 5 vs XBOX Series X: Specifications
PlayStation 5 comes in two models – one with a disc drive and the other one is a Digital only Edition. However, both the consoles share the same specifications and performance. The design of both the console is slightly different from each other. Microsoft introduced two new consoles which are different from each other, the XBOX Series X is a top-end variant and the XBOX Series S is a lower variant of it. The top-end variant targets 4K resolution gaming and the Series S is limited to 1440pixels, compare to the premium model it has lower storage, RAM, and bandwidth as well.

PlayStation 5 vs XBOX Series X: Which is better?
Looking at the specifications it seems that the XBOX Series X boasts a slight powerful processor than the PS5, as the XBOX console comes with 12.0 teraflop AMD RDNA 2 and PS sports a 10.3 teraflop AMD RDNA 2. Rest of the specifications seem to be identical to each other. On paper, both the gaming consoles looks very promising in terms of performance. But, lets see which one outperforms at the launch.
Talking about the design, the XBOX Series X design is more portable than the PS5, it looks like a piece of a cube and it will take less space on your console table if we compare it with the PS5 console. On the other end, the PS5 console seems to be designed is very complicated but the heat vents suggest that the console is ready for long hours of gaming without overheating. Looking at all the aspects we can say that the XBOX Series X can be a better choice over PS5, but it’s a really tough call because the PS5 is also a machine which Indians love.
