Sony has launched a new Wireless neckband speaker called SRS-NS7 in the US market along with the WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter. The Sony SRS-NS7 Wireless Neckband Speaker comes with features such as Dolby Atmos, IPX4 rating, and up to 12 hours of battery life. Sony SRS-NS7 Wireless Neckband Speaker price
The Sony SRS-NS7 Wireless Neckband Speaker is priced at $299.99 which is approximately Rs 22,418 in India. The speaker is now up for pre-order on the Sony US website and the product will also be available on Amazon. Currently, there is no word on the global launch of the neckband speaker including in India.
The WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter will be sold separately for $59.99 which is around Rs 4,483.
Features and specifications
As the name suggests, you can wear the speaker just like you wear any other wireless neckband. The Sony SRS-NS7 wireless neckband speaker is the world’s first neckband speaker to offer Dolby Atmos audio. However, the feature will work only with Sony’s BRAVIA XR TV series. Further, it also comes with 360 spatial sound which delivers an optimized cinematic experience with the companion spatial sound personalizer app.
You can pair the speaker with the wireless transmitter and connect it to the TV. While connected, the app takes a photo of the user’s ear and analyzes hearing characteristics by estimating the ear’s 3D shape. This will enable the speaker to offer virtual Dolby Atmos experience on select Sony TV models. The speaker offers 3W+3W sound output.
The speaker is also equipped with an inbuilt microphone and a play/call button. On the inside, there is a top facing X-balanced speaker unit that will deliver audio with less distortion and clear music as well as vocals. For bass, it also features passive radiators. The neckband is made up of fabric and silicone material. In terms of battery life, the speaker is rated to last up to 12 hours with one change and a quick 10-minute charge will offer 60 minutes of playback.
