Sony Launches Three New X-Series Party Speakers in India: IPX4 Rating, Mega Bass and More

Sony has launched a range of wireless portable speakers in the Indian market. The company has introduced three wireless portable speakers in its X-series that include – Sony SRS-XP700, SRS-XP500, and SRS-XG500. These newly introduced speakers by Sony will be available for purchase in India starting from August 10. The Sony SRS-XP700 and the SRS-XP500 speakers have a cylindrical design, while the Sony SRS-XG500 is a premium offering that comes with a boombox design and has IP66 dust and waterproof rating. The other specifications of these new speakers includes an X-balance speaker unit that offers Mega Bass and Live Sound Mode, USB Play feature, ambient Lightning, and a long-lasting battery life of Up to 30 hours.

Sony SRS-XP700, SRS-XP500, and SRS-XG500 Price in India

The Sony SRS-XG500 price in India starts at Rs 26,990, while the Sony SRS-XP500 and SRS-XP700 price is set to Rs 32,990 respectively. As mentioned above these new portable speakers will be available for purchase in India starting from August 10. If you prebook any of these portable speakers in the August 10 and August 16th period, you can get Sony F-V120//C microphone worth Rs 1490 at no additional cost. These Sony speakers can be pre-booked via Sony retail stores (Sony Center and Sony Exclusive), ShopatSC.com, and other major electronic stores and e-commerce portals in India.

Sony SRS-XP700, SRS-XP500, and SRS-XG500 Specifications, Features

The Sony SRS-XP700, SRS-XP500, and SRS-XG500 portable speakers feature X-Balance speaker unit that has Mega Bass and Live Sound mode which offers an enhanced music experience. The Mega Bass features provide deep and punchy bass. All these three speakers have a non-circular diaphragm which provides less distorted sound by maximizing the area of the speaker. This does mean that you get a richer, clearer sound compared to the conventional speakers. As mentioned above, the Sony SRS-XG500 has an IP66 rating meaning that it can withstand water splash and dust. On the other hand, the Sony SRS-XP700 and SRS-XP500 have an IPX4 rating.


All three speakers are Bluetooth compatible so that you can pair them with your Bluetooth device and enjoy the music where you go. The Sony SRS-XG500 and SRS-XP700 come with USB play feature by which you can connect your smartphone to the speaker using a USB cable. Speaking about the battery life, the Sony SRS-XG500 offer up to 30 hours of music playback, while on the SRS-XP7000 and SRS-XP500 you can get 25 hours and 20 hours of battery life respectively. All these three speakers also have ambient lighting feature, Mic input, Guitar input, Stereo Mini-jack, and Fiestable App Support.
