Sony’s flagship true wireless earbuds, the WF-1000XM4 were launched globally back in June 2021. After more than six months of the global launch, looks like Sony is finally bringing them to India soon. These are the company’s latest flagship TWS and successor to the WF-1000XM3. A teaser on the Amazon India website and a dedicated microsite page for the Sony headphones launch confirm the product. A microsite on Amazon India e-commerce site states “A smarter listening experience” coming soon!. While this does not reveal the product name, the teaser image gives out the design of the Sony WF-1000XM4 TWS. However, Sony is yet to confirm the launch date of the flagship product. Since the product is already available in the global market, we do know the full specifications of the product. These true wireless earbuds are powered by the new Integrated Processor V1 and they also offer support for the LDAC codec. The WF-1000XM4 are also rated to deliver clear audio during calls, a beamforming microphone and a bone-conduction sensor provide clear voice detection even in noisy environments. These earbuds offer the best in industry noise cancellation, as per Sony.

On the inside, the Sony WF-1000XM4 packs in a 6mm driver unit offer a 20% increase in magnet volume and there’s Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless audio connectivity. On a single charge, the TWS is rated to last up to 8 hours with ANC and up to 12 hours with ANC off. Additionally, you also get 3 cycles of charge with the included case. A quick 5-minute charge will offer an hour of playback.

Other notable features include IPX4 water resistance rating, Qi wireless charging support, Sony app support, adaptive sound control, built-in Alexa, and support for Google Assistant.
