The leak reveals several new specifications of the upcoming Sony TWS earbuds, including an 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X, a 500mAh charging battery case, proprietary processors, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and more details. Previously, the WF-1000XM5 was spotted on the Wireless Power Consortium Certification website and FCC websites. Quandt has also previously leaked high-res renders of the premium Sony TWS earbuds. Sony WF-1000XM5 is a premium TWS earbuds expected to launch soon. The earbuds have been doing the rounds of the internet lately with all details known, including the official renders. Roland Quandt has shared more information about the upcoming earbuds from the Sony datasheet.
According to the new leak, the Sony XM5 will flaunt an 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X setup for robust audio. The new earbuds will also offer enhanced active noise cancellation thanks to dual feedback mics and two proprietary processors. There are three additional mics each on both earbuds to help with ambient noise detection and improve audio quality. The earbuds will also reportedly support HiRes Audio and DSEE Extreme.
The leak confirms that the Sony WF-1000XM5 will feature bone conduction sensors and Precise Voice Pickup technology. This technology will ensure crystal-clear call audio quality, even in noisy environments. These earbuds can be controlled using touch buttons on each earbud and the Sony Connect app on a smartphone. Moreover, the earbuds are IPX4 certified, which makes them perfect for outdoor activities and workouts.
The latest leak also reveals that the Sony WF-1000XM5 features a charging case with a 500mAh battery and 24-hour backup. However, there’s no word on the battery capacity of individual earbuds. Lastly, the Sony WF-1000XM5 will reportedly come with Bluetooth 5.3 support and multipoint connectivity, which lets it connect to multiple devices simultaneously.
