Sony is gearing up for the launch of the Xperia 5 IV successor in the form of the Sony Xperia 5 V. The Xperia 5 IV made its debut in September 2022 with a 6.1-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The upcoming Xperia 5 V recently made its appearance on the Geekbench a few days back. The benchmark listing revealed that this upcoming handset will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and up to 16GB of RAM. Now, the Sony Xperia 5 V has received the green signal from the 3C certification in China.

Sony Xperia 5 V To Offer 33W Fast Charging Support

As per the 3C certification, the upcoming Sony Xperia 5 V (XQ-DQ72) will offer 33W fast charging support. To recall, the upcoming Xperia 5 IV from last year offered 30W fast charging support. As far as the specifications of the Xperia 5 V is concerned, the handset is expected to arrive with a 6.05-inch display. The display size details of this upcoming Sony handset were revealed by Ross Young few days back. As mentioned above, the device also appeared on the Geekbench. As per the Geekbench listing, the Sony Xperia 5 V will run Android 13 OS. The smartphone will ship with up to 16GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Apart from the screen size, hardware details, and 33W fast charging support, no other detail of this upcoming device is revealed as of now.

As mentioned above, this upcoming smartphone from Sony will arrive as a successor to the Xperia 5 IV which debuted last year.
