While Samsung is basking in the success of the Galaxy S21 Series, one of the company’s upcoming A-series tablet has leaked. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab has over the years branched into multiple price segments, and the Galaxy Tab A series is for budget conscious buyer. In 2020, the Korean giant
launched an 8.4-inch variant of the tablet, and we now have confirmation that Samsung will stick to the screen size this year but shave off some thickness.
The information comes from detailed CAD renders obtained by MySmartPrice by industry sources. The renders show the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4-inch in all its glory, showing off the design in detail, giving us a good idea of what to expect.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2021) 8.4-inch Design and Dimensions
The upcoming Galaxy Tab A 8.4-inch will be a handy tablet to carry around. Our source claims the dimensions of the tab will be 201.9 x 125.2 x 7mm. Compared against its predecessor, Samsung seems to have shaved off some thickness and made it more ergonomic.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2021) 8.4-inch CAD Renders
The CAD renders reveal rounded corners, thin bezels, a single camera and more. The display and front fascia has the exact same dimensions as before. There are no physical buttons on the front, allowing the screen to come closer to the edges, stopped only by the front camera mounted in the center of the top bezel.
Furthermore, there seems to be no physical fingerprint sensor, like before and the rear panel has a single camera cutout. Both are in line with what Samsung has offered last year. This one doesn’t seem to be much of an upgrade, at least from the design point of view. The power and volume buttons are on the right, while the left side is completely empty. On the top is a cutout for a 3.5mm audio port while the bottom houses the USB-C charging port flanked by speaker grilles on both sides.
The CAD renders confirm that a larger Galaxy Tab A is indeed on the way. Samsung launched the 8-inch Galaxy Tab A in March in 2020. It’s likely that the company may also launch this 8.4-inch refresh around the same time. We still have no information around the specs and features of the upcoming tablet. But we will sure to report on it as and when we find out. Stay tuned!
