Budget smartphone company has launched a new 4G phone in India. The Camon 18 is the latest entrant in the smartphone under Rs 15,000 category. The device’s USP is its 48MP camera sensor setup. While the rear camera features a 48MP sensor, the Camon 18’s front camera also has the same resolution. The device draws power from a MediaTek processor. Since it is a budget device, it comes with a polycarbonate back. It goes on sale starting December 27 via online and offline channels. Tecno Camon 18 price in India

Tecno has launched the Camon 18 in a single storage configuration. The phone offers 4GB of RAM and has 128GB of internal storage. It is priced at Rs 14,999. The smartphone comes in Dusk Grey and Iris Purple colours. Tecno is also offering the company’s Buds 2 truly wireless earbuds with the purchase of Camon 18 for a limited time.

Specifications and features

The Camon 18 offers a 6.8-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080×2,460 pixels. Its display has a peak brightness of 500 nits and a hole-punch cutout. The device has a 48MP front camera sensor housed inside the centrally aligned hole-punch cutout.

Under the hood, the phone has a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Tecno’s new smartphone comes with 3GB virtual RAM support, which makes use of the phone’s internal memory.

The device has a triple-camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary camera. It also has a 2MP depth sensor and an AI lens along with dual flash. The camera comes with features like slow motion, night video mode, video bokeh, 2K video recording, etc. 

The device packs a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It runs Android 11-based HiOS 8 out of the box.
