TECNO Phantom V Flip has been doing the rounds of the rumour mill for a while now. The upcoming foldable from TECNO was spotted on the Google Play Console recently, revealing some core specifications of the device. Now, we know what the smartphone will look like, thanks to a protective case listing on the popular Chinese e-commerce platform Alibaba.com. The listing gives us the first glimpse of the yet-to-be-released TECNO foldable smartphone. Let’s take a look at the design revealed by leaked TECNO Phantom V Flip cases.
TECNO Phantom V Flip Case Renders Reveal Complete Design

The Alibaba listing has several images of the smartphone wrapped in a carbon fiber case. There are two cases, one with a large cutout for the camera module and cover display and one with the cover display open but the camera module wrapped with cutout for the sensors. However, the renders do not reveal much apart from the cover display, physical buttons, and the hinge.
The first thing that stands out in these renders is the circular cover display surrounded by a camera module ring housing two cameras and a circular LED flash. We can also see the power and volume buttons located on the right side of the smartphone. In one of the renders, we can also see the hinge of the smartphone. Going by the visual, we can safely assume that the TECNO Phantom V Flip will flaunt the waterdrop hinge mechanism for gapless closure. Apart from these, no other information is revealed by the listing.
The Google Play Console listing of the smartphone revealed that it might come with a 6.75-inch to 6.9-inch FHD+ display with 144Hz screen resolution. The smartphone is speculated to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 5G processor. The chipset is tipped to be backed by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The rear camera setup might feature a 64MP primary camera. There are no details of the secondary camera. On the front, there will be a 32MP selfie camera. Out of the box, the handset will boot Android 13-based HIOS. As for the battery, the TECNO Phantom V Flip is tipped to be powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging.
Popular tipster Paras Guglani has claimed that the Phantom V Flip will launch in the fourth quarter of 2023 and will be one of the cheapest foldables with a price tag under Rs 50,000. We can expect TECNO to make an announcement regarding the Phantom V Flip soon.
