Tecno, last month at MWC, introduced it’s first foldable – the Tecno Phantom V Fold. The company has already revealed the Phantom V Fold India pricing. Now, Tecno has announced the Tecno Phantom V Fold will launch on April 11 in the Indian market and it will go on sale starting April 12 exclusively via Amazon.

Alongside, Tecno has also announced that it has initiated the production of the Tecno Phantom V Fold in the Indian market as a part of its Make in India commitment. The company will manufacture the Phantom V Fold at its Noida facility, which is capable of producing 24 million phones per year. The Tecno Phantom V Fold comes in two configurations – 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. Check out the approximate Indian pricing converted from the global one,

The foldable will be available for purchase starting April 12, as a part of early access sale, exclusively via Amazon in India. During the early access sale, the Tecno Phantom V Fold will be available for purchase for Rs 77,777.

Tecno Phantom V Fold: Specifications and Features

The cover display on the Phantom V Fold includes a 120Hz LTPO AMOLED panel that measures 6.42 inches in size and has a Full HD+ resolution. The main display on the device is a 7.65-inch LTPO AMOLED panel that has a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

Tecno’s first foldable smartphone sports a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor. Fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process, the Dimensity 9000+ brings with it an octa-core CPU and Mali G710 GPU. The smartphone comes paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It boots HiOS 13 which is based on Android 13.

The Phantom V Fold comes equipped with a triple-rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary shooter with a 1/1.3-inch sensor size and an f/1.8 aperture. It gets accompanied by a 50MP telephoto lens that has 2x optical zoom. The smartphone also features a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens that has an f/2.2 aperture and a 120° field of view.

The cover display on Tecno’s first foldable accommodates a 32MP selfie shooter inside a centered punch-hole notch. Whereas, the main display houses a 16MP shooter for video calls and selfies inside a punch-hole cut-out. The device relies on a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the security side.

The Phantom V Fold is backed by a 5000mAh battery unit. It supports 45W fast charging over a Type-C charging port. The device comes in two colour options – Black and White. It has a stereo speaker setup but lacks the 3.5mm audio jack.
